Aminu Diko is a past Director-General/CEO of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission. (ICRC). Diko joined the ICRC in January 2010 as the Executive Director, Contract Compliance with responsibility for monitoring all Federal PPP projects to ensure that they are in Compliance with the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (Establishment ETC,) Act 2005 and the National Policy on PPP, 2007.

Prior to his tenure at ICRC, Diko had worked as the Group Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of Dangote Group for 14 years, after a 10-year career in the banking sector. He holds a Masters degree in Law and he has close to four decades post-call experience in corporate legal practice.

Diko has tremendous experience in Oil & Gas law and he has prepared and negotiated several JOA’s and PSC’s with major IOCs like Exxonmobil, Shell, Perobras and Statoil.

Diko also has a thorough grasp of the European Law, having successfully completed 5 International Practice Diplomas at the College of Law, London and Wales, leading to the conferment on him with the title of ‘Fellow’ by the International Bar Association (IBA) at its Conference in Singapore, 2007. Diko is also a Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators, Nigeria.

As a company and anti-trust lawyer, Diko was part of the Federal Government committee (established by BPE) that midwifed the Federal Competition Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
